I am very excited to be a part of Grassland Day School this year! I graduated from Lipscomb University in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and I’ve taught both Kindergarten and First Grade in the Metro Nashville Public Schools and Knox County School Systems for 9 1/2 years. I love preparing children for their upcoming elementary school years and helping them reach their educational, spiritual, and social potential! I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Matthew, since 2005. We are blessed with 3 amazing children; our little girl, Logan, and our twins, Harper and Knox. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, running, and watching college football. I’m looking forward to a very successful year at Grassland!

I am the teacher for the PreK and assistant for the PreK2 classes. I am married to Rick and we have 2 boys; Ryne and Eli. I have a degree in Management and Marketing from Union University. I decided to stay at home with my children when my youngest child was born. He began school at GDS when he was 18 months old. I fell in love with the school and all the precious teachers, parents, and children. This ministry was such a blessing to our family and I am happy to be able to serve your families.

I am excited about teaching in Pre-k this year! I taught Kindergarten and first grade for several years before having children so pre-k is a comfortable change. My husband, Brad, and I were married in 2002 and we have three kiddos who have all either been through or are currently attending GDS. Our two oldest children started at GDS in 2011. I began subbing in 2013 and then joined the GDS team in 2014. I love watching children learn, figure out how to solve their own problems and become independent. I am looking forward to a year full of growth!
