I have been teaching since 1989 and have been at GDS since 2007. My degree is in theater arts. I am married and have two wonderful boys. My hobbies are boating and football.

Hi! I am glad to be a part of the Pre-K teaching team. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies and a Masters of Education. I have spent the last few years teaching preschool children in various volunteer roles. Preschool is a precious time for development. It is a privilege to be a part of the children’s learning experience at GDS. My life is richly blessed by my husband and our four sons.

I teach Pre K on T/Th. My family relocated here last year from just outside of Chicago. That’s where I taught preschool for 7 years. Before having my family I taught 1st and 2nd grades. I fell in love the preschool age once my youngest went off to school. It’s filled with so much joy, development, and discovery. So I’m very excited to be here at GDS! When I’m not teaching my three kids, husband, and dog keep me running in circles. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and exercising.

I am so excited to teach Pre-K this year with Grassland Day School! I am a graduate of the University of West Florida where I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with certifications in teaching reading, English Language Learners, and Gifted Students. I’m recently new to Tennessee, as I have grown up in the Florida panhandle where I taught K-2 for 12 years and we moved here in 2021. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 3 children, Caleb (4) and Elizabeth (2). We also have a son in Heaven, David, who would have been 6 this year. In our spare time, we love to travel to new places and frequently return to Florida where our extended family lives to see the beach and Disney!
We also love to cheer on the Crimson Tide and we are involved with the music ministry for our church.

After my youngest daughter graduated from GDS, I was excited to join the staff as the PreK2 teacher in 2022. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and a masters in reading education. I spent over 10 years teaching reading in public schools before enjoying a season as a stay at home mom to our two girls, Hattie and Sarah Ann. I’m married to my wonderful husband Paul, and we’re thankful to have made our home here in the Grassland community.

I am thrilled to be joining the staff at GDS this year as the Tuesday/Thursday Pre-K2 teacher. I have a Masters in Elementary Education and spent ten years in public schools before staying at home with my children. My oldest daughter, a GDS graduate, is now in Kindergarten, and my two boys are currently still benefitting from this wonderful school. My husband, Josh, and I both grew up in the Grassland community and are happy to be raising our children here, as well.
