Debbie Day– I am so grateful that God has led me to Grassland Day School. I started as a parent at the preschool and have served as Director since 2008. I was raised outside of Chicago, but moved to attend Vanderbilt University in 1987. I received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Belmont University and taught in Metro Schools for six years. I am married to Matt and we have four children. In addition to my role as Director at GDS, I am passionate about cooking and His Beloved, a special needs ministry at my church, Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. I look forward to serving this precious ministry in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ephesians 4:1
Beth Clark-I joined the GDS team in the summer of 2013 as the worship/bible story leader and moved into the 3’s classroom to teach that fall. After having our 5th child I took a short break in 2015 and was back teaching that following fall!
This transition into the Assistant Director position is an unexpected blessing that I’m very excited to begin. I have a background in Early Childhood Growth & Development and am completing my education in Child Dev & Family Studies which will allow me to be a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE). I am passionate about training teachers, parents, ministry leaders, etc. in the positive ways we can teach and impact the lives of the young that come our way. I will be completing my degree through MTSU while I continue balancing my home life which includes 5 very active, smart & happy children as well as my husband Brett who is the rock of our home.
I consider it a pure gift and joy to serve in this capacity and Thank God for endless opportunities to love. You can find me in the office on Thursday and Friday’s and always available via email. (Col 3:16-17)
